Cedarville in the Sprint

The Sprint second and third rounds and Finals were held on Sunday. Five boats turned in times under 30 seconds this year.

Cedarville boat

We enjoyed mostly sunny skies for the Endurance competition, which was won by Cedarville University. The boats were quite reliable with very few breakdowns.

Technical inspections

With the completion of technical inspections on Thursday, the on-the-water events began. Teams ran both the Maneuverability and Sprint qualifying courses and the Slalom course.

Students carrying boat

Teams arrived, unloaded, and applied finishing touches to their boats. Technical inspections began, and skippers completed their swim test requirement.

Evening activities included award presentations for the best technical reports, a talk on renewable energy from Bob Ames of Tyson, and a dinner at the University of Arkansas Alumni House.
